2018 Statistics

During 2018, the Brunswick County Homeless Coalition responded to about 232 calls for assistance, with about 147 callers assisted with paying utilities/eviction prevention, 14 with paying rent or mortgage, 21 needing emergency shelter, 31 receiving referrals to specific agencies for other assistance, and 19 veterans in need of veteran-specific assistance.

2016 Statistics

In 2016, the Brunswick County Homeless Coalition responded to 344 requests for assistance. 48 families (104 people) were provided 140 nights of emergency shelter, and 296 families received assistance with rent, utilities, food, medications, and/or transportation.

In 2015, Brunswick County Homeless Coalition Assisted 274 people, Provided 97 people 183 nights of emergency shelter, Paid Power Stats for 50 families, Paid electric bills for 12 families, Provided 16 families with rental assistance, Assisted 18 families with, transportation. Funding sources include grants, fundraisers (golf tournament), donations we receive from nonprofit organizations, and private donations.

Brunswick County Homeless Coalition

2014 Statistics

In 2014, Brunswick County Homeless Coalition helped 64  families,($4,712)  who were struggling due to loss of jobs, evictions, chronic/acute illnesses, and not able to pay rent and heating bills; and for the first six months of 2015 we helped 116 individuals and families ($11,079) with housing, rent, electricity, food, and transportation. Funding sources include  grants, fundraisers (golf tournament),  donations we receive from nonprofit organizations, and private donations.
